Chicago is truly a city with something for everyone and June is a wonderful time to take advantage of all Chicago has to offer. Enjoy concerts at the spectacular new Millennium Park, jogging or cycling along the Lake, relaxing at Oak Street Beach, or strolling down Michigan Avenue, "The Magnificent Mile". Chicago's museums are worthy of a day's visit in themselves, particularly The Field Museum, The Art Institute of Chicago, The Museum of Contemporary Art, The Shedd Aquarium, The Adler Planetarium, or The Museum of Science and Industry. Musical offerings vary from The Chicago Symphony Orchestra and The Lyric Opera to the many blues and jazz nightspots located throughout the city. Taste of Chicago 2008 is Chicago's biggest event. Getting its start as a modest food festival on the Fourth of July in 1980, the Taste of Chicago has grown to be the world's largest outdoor food fest -- a gastronomical extravaganza attracting upwards of 3 million people each year. Where: Grant Park -- north/south between Monroe Avenue and Balbo Drive, east/west between Michigan Avenue and Lake Shore Drive. When: Taste of Chicago Dates: June 27 through July 6, 2008.
